We all have that one thing that we were always good at. I don't care who you are- from the garbage man to the doctor, every person has that hidden talent that defines their spirit. A definable essential you that shines the light.
I believe that many of us have hidden many of our definable shiny points about ourselves. Whether we were traumatized by a chilhood event, or we just gave up after trying time and time again. The fact of the matter is that we all have that certain je ne sais quoi. Our lives are a living expression of our memories, heart, soul an spirit.
Movement is just like that. Remember when you were alone may times as a young person, when we would have a private little skip or jump off the sidewalk. Without a care in the world, we MOVED! It was beautiful. These are actually the memories I talk about. I can remember the days I would disappear for a couple of hours in the stairwell of my mother's building and practice deep stretches and kicks until I would move like a cat. This is a memory that I use to fuel my daily routines at the gym.
We all have these memories. They might be a "remember when I wanted to be a rock star!" That's a valid memory. It's the essential us that dreamed. We can make those dreams come true, both physically and spiritually. It's called manifesting. I'm not talking some false religion mumbo jumbo that has us drinking the poison fruit punch or killing ourselves in expectation of some spaceship coming to pick us up. No! That's not what I'm talking about.
I'm talking about writing out a plan, based on some goals and dreams we may have. That, I consider, is the main idea to making our dreams come true. They won't happen overnight. But over time, one tiny step at a time, we can accomplish most of what we desire.
So my suggestion, no, hope, for all of us is to MAKE A PLAN AND STICK TO IT!!! Plain and simple. That's what I do for myself and that's what I do for my clients at Hamaca Fitness. I help people flesh out an achievable goal, step by step, until we achieve what they want.
